Winter Weather Conditions to Impact Delivery

Strong winds, low temperatures, and continuous precipitation are creating extremely slick and dangerous roads in the midsection of the nation. Clashing of record-breaking warm air with arctic winds is laying out a winter storm trail from Texas to the Great Lakes region. As much as seven inches of snow already fell in parts of Texas and Oklahoma with expectation that it will continue to fall into the evening; and heavy icy rains with snow are presently reaching as far southwest as New Mexico. Forecasters have issued a blizzard warning for Oklahoma and parts of Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois where a heavy snowfall is expected well into the day on Friday. All affected states have issued highway advisory encouraging drivers to avoid unnecessary travel. Long waits and delays have been reported in Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois.

Due to cold temperatures, the roadways are expected to remain icy and dangerous into the night and throughout the day tomorrow in the abovementioned areas. The National Weather Service issued winter storm warnings from Texas to Illinois until the afternoon of December 1.

Currently, all Quebecor World Logistics' over-the-road carriers are out to deliver, but are reporting delays and proceeding with caution due to the extreme weather conditions. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as additional information becomes available. We are doing everything possible in the meantime to minimize the impact on delivery in these regions.
